Mario Balotelli shows off his dunking ability

Claudio Villa

Not only can Super Mario score lovely goals, he can dunk a basketball. Of course he can. He's a fantastic athlete. And super.

In case you weren't yet convinced off Mario Balotelli's athletic ability, allow us to present you with further evidence towards that conclusion.

To the YouTubes!

Mario can fly! And he didn't even need a Super Leaf or a Tanooki Suit...and a long runway to build up the proper amount of speed to achieve lift.

I'm not a dunking expert but I know for a fact I couldn't do that unless I either had a trampoline or a really low basketball goal. In fact, even if either of those requirements were met, I'd probably still end up breaking an ankle or wrist in the process.

There's a reason I'm a writer after all.

For any of you left who don't think Mario is actually Super Mario, we hope that this video is enough to assuage any lingering doubts.
