Stephan El Shaarawy has been quoted as telling Sport Mediaset that he has "decided to stay at AC Milan," despite reported interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City recently. The Italian international only played a couple of minutes in the rossoneri's recent league victory over Cagliari, fuelling speculation that he could be on his way out of the San Siro.
Milan fans will be breathing huge sighs of relief, given the importance of El Shaarawy to their team. He single-handedly carried them during their terrible start to last season, and finished the season with 16 league goals in total. Still at the young age of 20, he'll no doubt be one one of the rossoneri's key protagonists this season.
