Aparecidence's team masseur makes an illegal double save, runs for his life

Enjoy video of an Aparecidence staff member sneaking on the pitch, making a quality double save, then running for his very survival out of the stadium.

We're just going to file this under "Things You Don't See Everyday but Seems to Be Somewhat Common in Soccer"...that's a really long file name.

Tied 2-2 on aggregate, but ahead on away goals, against Tupi, Aparecidence looked to be in real trouble in their Brazil Serie D playoffs match when Tupi striker Ademilson beat the goalkeeper and looked sure to score the go ahead goal.

At least until Aparecidence's team masseur snuck around the far post on to the pitch, made a stunning double save and then ran for his life out of the stadium. Just another day in lower division Brazilian soccer.

Tupi were furious as you might expect, even more so when the match ended 2-2 and Aparecidence advanced on away goals. The club has announced they are appealing the outcome and will go to the courts if necessary to get the result overturned.

While sports brawls are entertaining viewing, they're not the best way of dealing with most situations. In this case, I think we can all sympathize with the fury of Tupi's players and coaches.
