Lazio vs. Parma, 2014 Coppa Italia: Preview and TV schedule

Gabriele Maltinti

Defending champions Lazio need to see off Parma on Tuesday to progress to the Coppa Italia quarterfinals.

The Coppa Italia fun continues on Tuesday, as reigning champions Lazio resume their title defence against Parma. The two sides go head-to-head over a spot in the quarterfinals, knowing that they'll face a tough match against either Napoli or Atalanta later this month if they progress.

A good cup run would be the perfect tonic for a Lazio side that has been distinctly unimpressive in the league so far this season, and they should be especially fired up after Edy Reja replaced the fired Vladimir Petković on the bench earlier this month. They could make several changes to their starting 11, with goalkeeper Etrit Berisha likely to start in place of the doubtful Federico Marchetti, while Lorik Cana is definitely unavailable.

Parma will be looking to continue their impressive unbeaten streak of nine games unbeaten in all competitions, though they haven't won away at the Olimpico since a Serie A match back in 2009. Roberto Donadoni will too undoubtedly shake up his team, with the recently-dropped Antonio Cassano and Nicola Sansone both likely to start. Gianni Munari could make a rare appearance in midfield, with fellow rotation players José Mauri and Joel Obi both out injured.

Lazio injuries and suspensions
