Sheffield United vs. Fulham: Preview and TV schedule

Clive Rose

Fulham will look to avoid crashing out of the FA Cup against League One side Sheffield United.

Fulham travel to Bramall Lane looking to accomplish something they never managed to do before: defeat Sheffield United in an FA Cup match.

The team have met four times in the FA Cup and the Blades have won each meeting, with only one going to a replay. The Blades have been on a strong run of form recently, losing only twice in their last 12 games.

Facing a key relegation battle against Swansea on Tuesday, there's a good chance that head coach Rene Meulensteen will choose to sit several regular starters. Fulham have only won twice in their last six matches and are mired in 17th, just one point clear of the drop zone.

Sheffield United injuries and suspensions

Out: Billy Paynter (ineligible), Elliott Whitehouse (ineligible), Callum McFadzean (ineligible).

Fulham injuries and suspensions

In Doubt: Fernando Amorebieta (knee)

Fulham's only injury issue centers around Fernando Amorebieta's knee and whether or not it will be well enough for him to be available. Sheffield United have no injuries reported but three players will be ineligible after playing for other squads on loan in earlier rounds of the FA Cup.
