The most eagerly-anticipated of Tuesday's Premier League fixtures sees Liverpool play host to their Merseyside neighbours Everton, looking to maintain their point advantage over the Toffees in the league table. However, Roberto Martínez's side have exceeded all expectations so far this season, and certainly will be up for the fight.
Liverpool have won their last couple of league games and are currently occupying the fourth and final Champions League place. They've not lost at home to the Toffees since 1999, though Everton's current form means they could make life tougher than ever for Brendan Rodgers' hosts.
Liverpool will certainly be without a handful of first team regulars, including José Enrique, Daniel Agger and Lucas Leiva, though they'll be hopeful Mamadou Sakho makes it back in time. Everton's injury list is rather lengthier, with Ross Barkley and Bryan Oviedo their most significant absentees. Gerard Deulofeu, Séamus Coleman and Steven Pienaar all face late fitness tests.
Liverpool injuries and suspensions
Out: José Enrique (knee), Daniel Agger (calf), Lucas Leiva (knee), Glen Johnson (ankle). In doubt: Mamadou Sakho (hamstring).
Everton injuries and suspensions
