Manchester United vs. Swansea City, 2014 FA Cup: Preview and TV schedule

Michael Regan

One of the more intriguing of this weekend's FA Cup ties is Manchester United's game at home to Swansea on Sunday.

Manchester United looked like they were finding some form after a dreadful start to the season, but were put right back to square one by defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League match. The Red Devils will look to bounce straight back with an FA Cup third round win on Sunday, though unfortunately they haven't been handed an easy draw.

Fellow top-flight side Swansea visit Old Trafford for this one, with Michael Laudrup's team coming in off the back of a recent rocky run of form. The Jacks haven't won in their last six in the league, and will be hoping they can find some success away from the pressures of the Premier League spotlight.

However, they, like United, have a fair share of injury problems, with goalkeeper Michel Vorm and attackers Nathan Dyer, Michu and Pablo Hernández their biggest misses. United will be without Marouane Fellaini, Nani and Ashley Young, while Robin van Persie, Rafael da Silva and Phil Jones face late fitness tests to determine their availability.

Manchester United injuries and suspensions

Out: Marouane Fellaini (wrist), Nani (hamstring), Ashley Young (shoulder). In doubt: Robin van Persie (thigh), Rafael da Silva (groin), Phil Jones (knee).

Swansea City injuries and suspensions

Out: Michel Vorm (knee), Nathan Dyer (ankle), Michu (ankle), Garry Monk (knee), Pablo Hernández (hamstring). In doubt: None.
