Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan: Preview and TV schedule

Gabriele Maltinti

Fiorentina welcome Inter Milan to the Artemio Franchi on Saturday, as they continue their push for the Champions League.

Fiorentina are just three points adrift of Napoli in the final Champions League spot heading into round 24, and welcome an inconsistent Inter Milan to the Artemio Franchi on Saturday. Vincenzo Montella's side picked up a 2-0 win over Atalanta in the last round, and would move provisionally level on points with Rafa Benítez's Neapolitans with another victory.

They really ought to pick up a win too, with Inter having struggled for form of late. They squeezed past relegation strugglers Sassuolo 1-0 in the last round, in what was remarkably only their second win in 11 league games. The nerazzurri are really having to scrap for the final Europa League spot, and find themselves eight points adrift of Fiorentina, despite being directly below them in the table.

Fiorentina will be without several regular first teamers, including top scorer Giuseppe Rossi who continues to struggle with a knee injury. Centre-back Stefan Savić is also out hurt, while midfielder Borja Valero -- who has arguably been the viola's best player over the last couple of seasons -- will miss out through suspension.

Inter will be without Esteban Cambiasso and Ricky Álvarez through injury, with coach Walter Mazzarri likely to hand January arrival Danilo D'Ambrosio his first start in black and blue.
