Shaun Botterill

Yaya Sanogo starts in place of Olivier Giroud as Arsenal take on Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium tonight, while Javi Martinez and Philip Lahm could be returning to their old positions.

Yaya Sanogo makes a sensational start for Arsenal as they host Bayern Munich, with Olivier Giroud dropping to the bench.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola appears to be returning Javi Martinez and Philip Lahm to their old positions of midfield and full-back respectively as he names a more conventional side for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.

With Mikel Arteta absent, Jack Wilshere partners Mathieu Flamini in the Gunners' midfield.

Arsenal starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Wojciech Szczesny; Bacary Sagna, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Kieran Gibbs; Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Özil, Santiago Cazorla; Yaya Sanogo.

Bayern Munich starting lineup (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; David Alaba, Dante, Jerome Boateng, Philip Lahm; Javi Martinez, Toni Kroos, Thiago; Arjen Robben, Mario Mandzukic, Mario Götze.
