West Bromwich Albion vs. Liverpool: Preview and TV schedule

Laurence Griffiths

Relegation-threatened West Bromwich Albion need to cause a big upset if they're to take anything from Liverpool on Sunday.

West Bromwich Albion have struggled of late, with Pepe Mel's side out of the relegation zone on goal difference only after West Ham beat Cardiff City 2-0 on Saturday. The Baggies have only won four times all season, and need to turn things around quickly if they're to move out of the mire at the bottom.

They'll find it difficult to kickstart a charge this weekend, as they welcome high-flying Liverpool to The Hawthorns on Sunday. Brendan Rodgers' side head into this match buoyed by a 4-0 smashing of Merseyside rivals Everton, and would extend their Champions League buffer to four points with a win.

West Brom will be without two regular faces, with Nicolás Anelka and Stéphane Sessègnon both out injured. Liverpool's injury list is rather lengthier, with Lucas Leiva the latest to be ruled out with a knee problem. However, with the Reds' key players like Luis Suárez fit to start, none of their absentees are too concerning.

West Bromwich Albion injuries and suspensions

Out: Nicolás Anelka (leg), Stéphane Sessègnon (groin). In doubt: None.

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Sebastián Coates (knee), José Enrique (knee), Daniel Agger (calf), Mamadou Sakho (hamstring), Lucas Leiva (knee), Glen Johnson (unspecified). In doubt: None.
