Chelsea vs. Everton: Preview and TV schedule

Laurence Griffiths

High-flying Everton will look to cause an upset away at Stamford Bridge in Saturday's early kickoff.

Roberto Martínez's Everton have been one of the revelations of the Premier League season, with the Toffees' transition from David Moyes' long tenure surprisingly smooth. They'll look to cause an upset at Stamford Bridge in Saturday's early kickoff, and take points from José Mourinho's Chelsea.

That is, however, easier said than done, with Chelsea currently sitting atop the Premier League table despite being held to a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion in their last match. Their recent league victory over favourites Manchester City showed they have the power and guile to be serious contenders for the title this season, and will look to refind their winning momentum on Saturday.

Their only unavailable players are David Luiz and Marco van Ginkel, with John Terry set to return to the centre of defence after being declared fit to play. Everton's injury list is rather lengthier, with Romelu Lukaku and Bryan Oviedo their most significant absentees, and Steven Naismith in doubt.

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: David Luiz (muscle), Marco van Ginkel (knee). In doubt: None.

Everton injuries and suspensions

Out: Antolín Alcaraz (muscle fatigue), Darron Gibson (knee), Arouna Koné (knee), Romelu Lukaku (ankle), Bryan Oviedo (broken leg). In doubt: Steven Naismith (concussion).
