2014 World Cup TV schedule and announcers

The world's biggest sporting event will take over the ESPN family of networks in June and July.

ESPN will broadcast all 64 matches from the 2014 World Cup live in the U.S. on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC. The tournament, which begins in Sao Paulo on June 12 and finishes with the final on July 13 in Rio de Janeiro, will also see every match available online via Watch ESPN or Watch ABC.

All three United States group stage matches will be on ESPN, beginning on June 16 when they play Ghana at 5:30 p.m. ET in Natal. Six days later, the U.S. will square off against Portugal in the Amazon City of Manaus at 5:30 p.m., before finishing the group stage against Germany on June 26 at 11:30 a.m. ET in Recife.

The tournament's opening match, featuring hosts Brazil taking on Croatia, will be on ESPN at 3:30 p.m. Following that, matches for the first two rounds of group stage matches will be played at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily. The final round of group stage matches, which sees both matches in each group played concurrently so as not to provide any team an advantage, will be played at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

All of the knockout stage matches will be played at 11:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m., except for the final, which will be broadcast at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.

In addition to its match coverage, ESPN will have a 30-minute pre-match show for every contest, halftime shows and post-match shows. The network will also have SportsCenter at the World Cup and a nightly 30-minute recap show from Brazil.
