Everton have been one of the surprise packages of the Premier League season so far, and Roberto Martínez's side are just a couple of points adrift of the final Champions League spot heading into the weekend. They'll look to close that gap with a win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, but that shouldn't be an easy task.
Spurs have home advantage and are currently just a point in arrears in the Toffees. They've picked up only a point from their last couple of games -- including a disastrous 5-1 mauling by Manchester City -- though their hopes of a win are boosted by Everton's lengthy injury list.
The visitors will be without star striker Romelu Lukaku with an ankle problem, along with a string of other long-term woes. Spurs will miss Sandro and Vlad Chiricheș, while Erik Lamela is also unavailable. Alas, after his underwhelming start to Premier League life, Spurs probably won't miss him at all.
