Manchester United vs. Fulham: Preview and TV schedule

Laurence Griffiths

United hope to take out some frustration on struggling Fulham.

Manchester United will welcome last-placed Fulham to Old Trafford hoping to get back in the win column after picking up their eight loss of the season last week against Stoke City.

David Moyes will have some decision to make in the central defense with Jonny Evans and Phil Jones likely to be unavailable. Rio Ferdinand is closer to a return but may not be ready to start, which leaves the pair of Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic as the likely starters. The attack should be in good shape with Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata all expected to start.

Pressure is building Rene Meulensteen as Fulham remained stuck at the bottom of the table, but he'll be able to welcome a couple new signings into the starting eleven this week in hopes they can give his side a boost. New striker Konstantinos Mitroglou and defender John Heitinga are both expected to make their debuts for the Cottagers who are desperate for points.

Manchester United injuries and suspensions

Fulham injuries and suspensions

Evans and Nani are out for United but defenders Rio Ferdinand and Phil Jones could be available depending on how pre-match tests go. Fulham will be without a trio of players but could see Kieran Richardson make his return from an ankle injury.
