Liverpool will attempt to keep themselves in the title race as they travel to face Southampton on Saturday. A win by the Reds would break an 11-year win-less streak at St. Mary's Stadium for Liverpool and potentially allow them to jump as high as second if other results go their way.
Facing ninth placed Southampton is the type of game that Liverpool are expected to win, especially if they want keep themselves involved in the title race. The trouble is, the Saints have given the Reds problems of late with Mauricio Pochettino getting the better of Brendan Rogers in both of their Premier League meetings, That includes a 1-0 Saints win at Anfield earlier this season, still the only team to beat Liverpool at home during this campaign.
Liverpool are a much different, and much better, team that they were when they suffered that loss so the Saints will need to be at their best to get a result. The three headed monster attack of Luis Suárez, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge is scoring goals like crazy of late and will test the Saints defense.
