On paper Bayer Leverkusen are one of the better teams in the Bundesliga, with Sami Hyypiä's outfit sitting in a very respectable third place at present. However, from recent performances you couldn't tell, with Bayer having only picked up one point from a possible 12 in the league, alongside suffering an embarrassing and marginally less-embarrassing couple of defeats to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
At some point they're sure to break out of their bad run, though the Allianz Arena probably isn't the place to do it. Pep Guardiola's Bavarians are still unbeaten in the league this season, having won an extraordinary 22 of their 24 matches. With an advantage over second-placed Borussia Dortmund of 20 points, we may as well hand them the title, trophy and champagne already.
For this match, they're without the long-term injured centre-back Holger Badstuber, though otherwise have a full-strength team available. Bayer Leverkusen, by contrast, are without Robbie Kruse and Jens Hegeler.
