Bundesliga, Week 27 preview: A Bayern win in Berlin clinches another title; BVB, Schalke contest Revierderby

Bayern Munich will clinch another Bundesliga title with a win against Hertha Berlin, while Borussia Dortmund host Schalke in another Revierderby.

Today, at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, a victory by Bayern Munich will win another championship for Die Rekordmeister and set a few records along the way. A win by FC Bayern will be the earliest that any Bundesliga side has won the championship and extend the club's European club record 19 match winning streak in league play.

For one of the first times all season long, Pep Guardiola has a full strength side (though, still without Holger Badstuber) at his disposal to face Hertha BSC. The Bavarians are on pace to shatter all of the records that they set last season on the way to their historic triple. Recent weeks have seen the reemergence of the the fußballgott Bastian Schweinstieger. Last weekend against Mainz, Schweinsteiger's header crushed the spirits of Die Nullfünfer as Bayern marched on to their 18th win in a row.

While the championship will likely be decided in Berlin, the battle for second place heats up as Schalke and Borussia Dortmund get set to square off in another Revierderby. Both sides have been riddled with injuries throughout the season, so it's tough to figure out exactly what we'll see on the field between these two clubs. The referee isn't the only one that will have his hands full in this intense rivalry. After fan violence has plagued the recent matches between these two sides, the police presence around the Westfalenstadion has been immensely increased before the derby kicks off.

Bayer Leverkusen's tenuous grasp on a Champions League place will be put to the test when they go against Markus Weinzierl's impressive Augsburg club. Who would've thought back in January that Leverkusen would have fallen to this point in the table before March was out? Die Werkself have only managed two wins out of twelve matches since the winter break. If Leverkusen continue to fall down the table, is Sami Hyppiä's job in jeopardy?
