Napoli vs. Juventus: Preview and TV schedule

Claudio Villa

Juventus could move within touching distance of their third consecutive Serie A title with a win at Napoli on Sunday.

Juventus head into the weekend with a 14-point lead at the top of the Serie A table, having notched up six consecutive league wins. Antonio Conte's side still haven't lost domestically since their 4-2 defeat to Fiorentina back in October, and are now within touching distance of wrapping up their third consecutive scudetto. They haven't looked quite at their best recently, only beating Genoa, Catania and Parma by one-goal margins, but that they still managed to win those games tells you all about the bianconeri's robotlike ability to grind out results.

Juve will look to move ever closer to sealing their crown away at the frustratingly-inconsistent Napoli on Sunday. The partenopei are currently six points adrift of second-placed Roma and ten clear of fourth-placed Fiorentina, with the Coppa Italia the only thing they really have to play for this season. Still, there is always a pride in taking points from the imperious Juventus, so Rafael Benítez will absolutely be fielding the strongest team he has at his disposal.

He'll be without full-backs Juan Zúñiga and Christian Maggio through injury, while goalkeeper Rafael is also sidelined. Juventus have Angelo Ogbonna, Federico Peluso, Andrea Barzagli and Simone Pepe injured, with Carlos Tévez out suspended. It remains to be seen whether Conte will take the opportunity to rest players in this game, with Juve having a Europa League tie against Lyon to come.
