Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Preview and TV schedule

Jamie McDonald

Chelsea can open up a seven point gap this weekend at the top of the Premier League with a win over Spurs.

Chelsea will have a chance to put some space between themselves and their rivals in the title race either inactive or busy with the FA Cup. A win by the Blues over their London rivals Spurs would leave Jose Mourinho's side seven points clear of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Chelsea won their last league match over Fulham 3-1 and have not lost a league game since December 7th against Stoke City. Than fine run of form has allowed Mourinho to lead his team to the top spot in the league, ahead of schedule according to the Portuguese boss.

Things haven't been bad for Spurs since Tim Sherwood took over but they haven't been great either. Despite their inconsistent results, Tottenham remains alive in the race for fourth place, four points behind Manchester City for the final Champions League spot.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw in their first meeting of the season at White Hart Lane.
