Manchester United vs. Bayern Munich: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Alex Livesey

If you like laughing at once great teams who have fallen off a cliff, you're going to want to tune in.

Manchester United barely scraped by Olympiacos in the last round of the Champions League, looking very much like the disappointing side who sits just 7th in the Premier League. They would have been serious underdogs against just about anyone in the quarterfinal, but Bayern Munich is an absolute nightmare draw.

This tie might have been interesting if the first leg was at the Allianz Arena. No one would expect United to get a result, but they could at least preserve hope that they had a chance in the return leg if they avoided an embarrassing defeat. If they lose at Old Trafford on Tuesday -- which seems extremely likely -- the tie is over.

United are dealing with a huge number of injury and suspension issues, especially at the back. Patrice Evra is suspended while Chris Smalling and Rafael are out. Jonny Evans has trained recently, but remains a question. Whatever back line David Moyes fields won't look great. Bayern have some problems as well, with Thiago missing out through injury and Dante serving a suspension.
