Schweinsteiger equalizes

So much for that 1-0 Manchester United win and heading to the Allianz Arena without conceding an own goal to Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are level, thanks to an extremely well-hit and placed shot by Bastian Schweinsteiger into the top corner.

Bayern

Mario Mandzukic was the player who headed down the ball for Schweinsteiger, just four minutes after he came on. Nice sub, huh?

Vidic stuns everyone

Somehow, some way, Manchester United lead Bayern Munich in their Champions League quarterfinal tie. Their hero is Nemanja Vidic, who scored with an absolutely brilliant header off a corner. He was going backwards and directed it perfectly. It was amazing. Take a look.

United have looked okay on the counter attack and have defended pretty well, but never looked like actually taking the lead. Bayern have set up shop in the United half all match and have controlled the game in every way, though they haven't been particularly good in front of goal. Thomas Müller, who started up top, has been particularly poor.

Unsurprisingly, Bayern will make a change. They have Mario Mandzukic on their bench, and they're going to use him.

Oh, and if United manage to hang on to this result? Well, that would set up an absolutely must-watch second leg at the Allianz Arena. If Bayern can't pick up an away goal, United might actually have a shot at the upset.

Oh no, Danny Welbeck

Danny Welbeck has been surprisingly difficult for Bayern Munich to deal with, but his finishing is leaving quite a bit to be desired. Case in point.

De Gea makes a monster save

Bayern Munich have absolutely dominated Manchester United in the first half on Tuesday, but the Red Devils are still holding onto a clean sheet. For that, they have David De Gea to thank. He came up with this brilliant save on Arjen Robben in the 31st minute.

Save

United have been entirely limited to counters thus far while Bayern have camped in their half. This one doesn't look like staying scoreless.
