Real Madrid have managed to got from league leaders to third place in less than a month, but despite that slip they're still not out of the title race. The real question surrounding Los Blancos though is whether or not they really care. All season Madrid have looked like world beaters in one match, only to find ways to massively underachieve in others. The injuries are starting to pile up for Carlo Ancelotti as he'll likely be forced to rest Cristiano Ronaldo after the striker suffered a minor knee injury against Dortmund.
La Real are close to fourth place, six points back of Athletic Bilbao. It's not an impossible gap for them to overturn but they're going to need to finish strong and get some help as well. Typically you expect to lose to the likes of Real Madrid, even at home, but given their success against Barcelona a few weeks ago, Jagoba Arrasate's team have no reason not to like their chances.
