Bayern Munich vs. Manchester United: Lineups

Alexander Hassenstein

Pep Guardiola has rolled out an aggressive lineup as Bayern look to advance to the semifinals.

Bayern Munich weren't particularly impressive in the first leg, grabbing just a single away goal in a 1-1 draw. For the second leg, Pep Guardiola has gone with what appears to be a rather aggressive lineup featuring two attacking-minded central midfielders, Mario Götze and Thomas Müller, starting together. Philipp Lahm drops from the midfield, back into a fullback role and Toni Kroos takes over as a holding mid with Bastian Schweinsteiger suspended.

David Moyes has Wayne Rooney available after some concerns about his foot and he starts in the middle of the attack, behind striker Danny Welbeck. Shinji Kagawa also gets the start. Marouane Fellaini and Ryan Giggs, both of whom started in the first leg, have been dropped.

Bayern Munich (4-1-4-1): Manuel Neuer; David Alaba, Dante, Jerome Boateng, Philipp Lahm; Toni Kroos; Arjen Robben, Mario Götze, Thomas Müller, Franck Ribéry; Mario Mandzukić

Manchester United (4-2-3-1): David De Gea; Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidić, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones; Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher; Shinji Kagawa, Wayne Rooney, Antonio Valencia; Danny Welbeck

Kickoff is at 2:45 p.m. ET, 8:45 p.m. local time from the Allianz Arena. You can catch the game on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S., Sky Sports 1 in the U.K. and Sportsnet regional networks in Canada.
