Valencia vs. Sevilla: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

Denis Doyle

Valencia will need another dramatic comeback if they hope to advance past Sevilla to the Europa League final.

After the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal against FC Basel, Valencia headed home to the Mestalla trailing 3-0. They pulled off an extraordinary comeback, but it appears they didn't learn their lesson as they once again facing a multi-goal deficit after the first leg, this time against fellow La Liga side Sevilla.

Stephane M'Bia and Carlos Bacca both scored in the first half of last week's match, giving Sevilla a 2-0 lead against their former boss Unai Emery. The Spanish head coach led Sevilla for four years from 2008 to 20012 before leaving to coach Spartak Moscow. His Russian adventure lasted less than a year, and he returned to Spain to take over at Valencia in January 2013.

Both the Spanish sides lost over the weekend, with Valencia suffering a tough 1-0 loss at home to the league leaders Atlético Madrid. Sevilla had a chance to grab control of fourth place, but were dispatched by Athletic Bilbao 3-1.

Valencia injuries and suspensions

The only new injury for either side is Sevilla's Daniel Carriço who is doubtful with an ankle injury. If the Portuguese midfielder can't play, the most likely options to take over in the deep midfield is Vicente Iborra.
