Barcelona vs. Atlético Madrid: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

David Ramos

The 2013/14 La Liga title will be decided at the Camp Nou on Saturday, the season's final day.

Nine months and 37 rounds of play weren't enough to decide the 2013/14 La Liga champion, so we'll have to play one more game on Saturday to figure things out. Will Atlético Madrid claim their first title since 1996? Will Barcelona repeat as champions? 90 minutes at the Camp Nou will give us an answer.

Atléti have the easier path to a title, needing simply to win or draw against Barca. It has been a long, long time since they won a match at the Camp Nou, so while they'd love to break a streak that dates back to 2006, it's not a requirement. Fortunately for Atléti, they're not the type of team to play for a draw. They'll play the same physical, defensive game they always do and look to take advantage of Barca's leaky defense.

No matter what happens on the pitch, this will be Gerardo Martino's final match in charge of Barca. He has been sending signals for weeks that he's going to walk away, and there has been reports that the club has been talking to potential replacements. Before Martino goes though, he has a chance to win a league title and create a story line for some who will say he was wrongly pushed out.

The two teams have met five times this season, playing to four draws and one win for Atléti. The two matches at the Camp Nou were both draws.

Barcelona injuries and suspensions

Out: Neymar (toe), Jordi Alba (hamstring), Carles Puyol (knee). In Doubt: Gerard Pique (hip).

Atlético Madrid injuries and suspensions

In Doubt: Diego Costa (hamstring), Cristian Rodriguez (hamstring).

No new injuries for Barcelona as Neymar and Alba remain sidelined. Defender Gerard Piqué could make a final day return from a hip injury that's kept him out for several weeks. Diego Costa is expected to play after missing last week's draw with a hamstring strain.

Projected lineups

Barcelona: José Manuel Pinto, Adriano, Javier Mascherano, Marc Bartra, Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi, Pedro, Lionel Messi, Alexis Sánchez.

Atlético Madrid: Thibaut Courtois, Filipe Luis, Diego Godín, João Miranda, Juanfran, Tiago Mendes, Gabi, Arda Turan, Koke, David Villa, Diego Costa.
