While the news is not unexpected, Atlético Madrid's Diego Costa has been all but ruled out of Saturday's Champions League final with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Costa returned to action against Barcelona on Saturday, but lasted just 16 minutes after pulling up making a run. He immediately grabbed his leg, and even though he tried to walk off the discomfort, he was quickly forced to leave the match where he sat on the bench in tears for several minutes.
Despite the injury, he is expected to be fit for the World Cup next month.
With Costa sidelined, Diego Simeone will have to turn to David Villa and Adrián to lead his attack. While neither is a "Diego Costa-like" player, they're both capable attackers who have scored big goals in big games.
