Real Madrid can continue to put pressure of Atético Madrid with a win over Valencia on Sunday. Madrid are fresh off their triumph over Bayern Munich, that will give them a shot at their 10th European Cup later this month.
Carlo Ancelotti and his team can no focus on staying in the title race, just in case their city rivals Atléti were to lose and open the door for them. They'll likely have to do it without Luka Modrić who is struggling to overcome a leg injury.
Valencia suffered an absolutely soul crushing defeat on Thursday in the Europa League semifinals against Sevilla. After overturning a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, and going up 3-2, Sevilla scored in the stoppage time to advance on away goals. It's tough to predict if three days are enough for Unai Emery's side to recover, especially when they have to face Madrid.
Real Madrid injuries and suspensions
