Belgium vs. Algeria, World Cup 2014: Kickoff, TV schedule, preview and more

Find out how to watch Belgium vs. Algeria on TV and online.

Belgium are looking to live up to the hype, and march into the knockout round of the 2014 World Cup. First up is a match against Algeria, which they simply have to win.

Belgium are one of the tournament dark horses thanks to a young and talented roster than includes the likes of Eden Hazard, Vincent Kompany and Romelu Lukaku. It's almost not fair how good this team could be, but now it's time for them to put it all together and prove it. Opening their campaign against Algeria should help them get off to a strong start, but training injuries to Kevin de Bruyne and Divock Origi have both players in doubt for the match.

Algeria failed to win a match in 2010, managing just a point after a 0-0 draw against England. American fans will be very familiar with the Fennec Foxes though, thanks to Landon Donovan's dramatic stoppage-time goal against them that propelled the USA into the Round of 16. Algeria probably won't do much better this time around, but nothing is impossible at the World Cup.
