Belgium needed to come from behind to defeat lowly Algeria, and will face a stern test against a very well-organised and efficient Russian side led by Fabio Capello, who were ruthlessly efficient in qualifying.
There's interest for the United States, who if they go through will have to play one of the top two teams from the group. If, as the most likely scenario seems to be, the U.S. finish second, they'll play whoever finishes first, which is highly likely to be the winner of this game.
Russia have struggled with the loss of captain Roman Shirokov, and could only gain a draw against South Korea in their opening game. But their record under Capello has largely been excellent and it should be a very even game between two teams who will harbour hopes of a run deeper into the knockout stages.
