World Cup 2014 final lineups: Both Germany and Argentina unchanged

Ronald Martinez

Both Germany and Argentina have made no changes to their starting lineups for the World Cup final.

Germany and Argentina have both named unchanged lineups for the World Cup final.

Despite reports Ángel di María would return from injury to take his place in the Argentina midfield, he's been made to settle for a place on the bench. Enzo Pérez starts in midfield. Meanwhile, Ezequiel Lavezzi continues ahead of Sergio Agüero up top. Despite an injury complaint, left-back Marcos Rojo also makes Alejandro Sabella's 11.

There are no real surprises in the Germany team, with coach Joachim Löw having been predictable with his lineups throughout the tournament. Miroslav Klose continues up top, flanked by Mesut Özil and Thomas Müller, while Jérôme Boateng again gets the nod over Per Mertesacker at center back.

Germany starting lineup (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; Benedikt Höwedes, Mats Hummels, Jérôme Boateng, Philipp Lahm; Toni Kroos, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira; Mesut Özil, Miroslav Klose, Thomas Müller.

Argentina starting lineup (4-3-3): Sergio Romero; Marcos Rojo, Ezequiel Garay, Martín Demichelis, Pablo Zabaleta; Javier Mascherano, Lucas Biglia, Enzo Pérez; Ezequiel Lavezzi, Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuaín.
