Germany unveils World Cup trophy with delightful dance routine

Matthias Kern

This sure is one way to celebrate winning the World Cup.

Not content with just having become the first ever European side to win the World Cup in South America, Germany showed off their new silverware in a presentation in Berlin on Tuesday with some strange dancing.

In fact, it looked like they'd scripted an entire musical, as their bizarrely dramatic unveiling of their shiny new possession demonstrated:

... and to think we all assumed they spent most of their training time kicking balls around football pitches.

The amateur dramatics wasn't all Germany had on offer, as they followed up their routine in front of the Brandenburg Gate with a bus tour around the city. Joachim Löw banged his fists like an uncool dad, and it was selfies galore. Not even Lukas Podolski managed to muscle in every photo taken.
