It has been a dream debut season for Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, who steered his side to a dominant Premier League title win. He’s got the opportunity to go one better on Saturday, when his side take on Arsenal in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley. The Blues are hoping to win this trophy for the first time since 2012, when they defeated Liverpool.
If Chelsea supporters have been dreaming over the last few months, their opponents have been enduring a nightmare. It has been the worst season in a long time for Arsenal, who have missed out on Champions League qualification for the first time in two decades. A win in the FA Cup Final would help offset some of the disappointment, but not all that much.
As is customary, it's Arsenal with the longer list of absentees. The Gunners will be without Santi Cazorla and Gabriel Paulista, who are injured, and Laurent Koscielny, who is suspended. Shkodran Mustafi, Kieran Gibbs, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all doubtful. Chelsea will only miss youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is sidelined with a back problem.
