So I finished yesterday with us winning 2-1 at Sunderland in dramatic fashion. With the man of the moment being a surprising Jordi Gomez who had scored two goals in his last two games, and was controlling our midfield from back to front. Isn't it weird how times change. You felt like it wouldn't be long till he was back to his own ways, and the team the same for that matter.

Well I have been wondering who is likely to score for us. Whoever has been upfront has looked like they could but then never managed to really produce something when the chances arised. Both Hugo Rodallega and Franco Di Santo have missed a fair few sitters this season.

Last week I asked which striker you could like to have back at the club pushing the front line for us. I nearly thought i would have to dig deep into the internet and talk about Amir Zaki. Instead I had the easier task of talking about one of the nicest men in football, Jason Roberts.

The saying old habits die hard is very much true. And if you apply it to Wigan and Martinez's philosophy as to how we should play, then you see where I am going with this. Yet again today Latics failed to really make the most of an opportunity to score goals and get three needed points.

It has been a quite month on the talks of player coming in and out for the club, to be far I'm not moaning, the squad we have here I'm rather happy with, just certain new faces I would like to see come in. But on the going out side, keeping everyone is a must.

I very nearly didn't bother to write up about this game, yet another disappointing result for Wigan.

I will start off with a confession. And that is, I have no clue about Swindon at all. I wouldn't even know where to begin (no offence to any Swindon Fans). Yet I am going to try my best, I do remember they very nearly broke into the Championship, with a side which was going so well. Then fell at those nastiest of play-off hurdles.

20 years old Callum McManaman, who starred for England under 20s in the summer, has joined Blackpool on loan till January. The player is highly rated by the club, and the loan move could be what the player is looking for to gain some crucial first team appearance.
