So I finished yesterday with us winning 2-1 at Sunderland in dramatic fashion. With the man of the moment being a surprising Jordi Gomez who had scored two goals in his last two games, and was controlling our midfield from back to front. Isn't it weird how times change. You felt like it wouldn't be long till he was back to his own ways, and the team the same for that matter.

Ah goals, those things that win football matches and where all of the ball must cross the line. Alas we have not seen many goals this season (that is in Wigan actually scoring them), although towards the end of the season we did get significantly better at finding the target.

You voted long and hard last week, and the winner changed more or less everyday. But after seven days, and five posts about players who have all had great seasons. We can now reveal who won our player of the season award. It is of course the most prestigious award for any Latics player to win.

Well the fifth and final installment of the player who have had excellent season for Latics. And I am finishing up with our resident starlet, Victor Moses is of course a player that is under a lot of speculation and looks set to leave this summer as he won't sign a new contract. Or more his agent is advising him not to bother, rather stupidly.

Our young Nigerian winger is set to move away from the DW Stadium. That is according to the players agent (Tony Finnigan). Well that will be yet another nose dive of a player from Wigan Athletic. We have seen it happen time and time again over the past few years, where players have felt they are better than the club and moved to soon.

It’s that time of year again. Where after a very long and hard slog, we come down to saying what our best bits were, it gives that lighter tinge even on the darkest of seasons. So today and for the rest of this week, I am looking for you player of the season.

Well this is going to be a very very special game. Not only because it will be a big celebration of Wigan Athletic staying up (kind of bad to rub it in the face of Wolves, but oh well.) the celebrations to be promoted with an 8th minute round of applause to celebrate eight seasons in the Premier League.

Chelsea's midfield is thin and their defense can be had. The only thing that we learn this weekend is that Sunderland is also capable of exploiting those weaknesses. Rather than craft new solutions, Chelsea will need to wait until December, when Michael Essien and Frank Lampard are scheduled to return.
