In other news from the Bellagio, the BBWAA has voted to approve four new net-centric scribes, including Will Carroll and Christina Kahrl of Baseball Prospectus and Rob Neyer and Keith Law of ESPN.com. Last year, Neyer and Law weren't good enough, but they've been granted the keys to the fluorescent green chartreuse BBWAA washroom.

With so many other factors that can affect a team's win total, all players need to be given equal consideration for these awards." Ok, so he also mentions K-Rod as a contender for the Cy Young (although he does say Cliff Lee should win it), and that broke my heart a little, but still, has an active player ever been a member of the BBWAA?
