NFL Draft: Small School Player Rankings by Position

Is Keith Stroud transferring?

+

He is according to his Twitter profile, which might as well be good as currency in the internet age. Stroud's profile says that he is transferring to Bethune Cookman, which would reunite him with former Rutgers receivers coach Brian Jenkins. BCU already has three Rutgers transfers on its roster in Jameil Farrington, Pat Brown, and Eddie Poole. Keith Stroud leaving is a salient exmple of how much depth Rutgers has at receiver. He started to see playing time last year as a sophomore, and still has two years of eligibility left to improve. At most DI programs he's a solid contributor at worst. Rutgers just has too many good receivers entering 2010 that solid depth has to fall by the wayside, which is very unfortunate. This just goes to show that not every transfer is about talent, and sometimes things don't work out through no fault of either party.
