Updates On Edler, Rome and Alberts

Iain MacIntyre from the Sun reports that Alex Edler is feeling optimistic about a return by early April before the playoffs. Of course, he needs to undergo surgery so that the extent of the damage to his back is revealed. That surgery is supposed to happen today. Meanwhile Aaron Rome (sprained knee) and Andrew Alberts (shoulder) traveled with the team to Dallas. There is a chance AA could play later this week.

Ballard and Hamhuis Will Not Play Tuesday

Both defencemen have not had many injury issues over the past few years..until now. Keith Ballard is still feeling the effects from his concussion and is out indefinitely. Dan Hamhuis is not skating at all either as his foot still ails him. These 2 losses don't sting too much after watching the 6 D play against the Wild.

Rome And Johnson Day-To-Day

Ryan Johnson could return by game 3 of the next series, while Aaron Rome's return remains close but uncertain.

Henrik Sedin's First X-Ray is Negative

The Province is reporting that Hank limped to the med room to have X-Rays taken on his ankle. That doesn't mean he's cleared to play yet. He will be examined further sometime today. Were you not shocked or in disbelief when he was laying on the ice in pain? This is turning out to be comical. Nothing on Willie Mitchell. A commenter (cyxj) in the Game Thread mentioned that he heard on Team 1040 that Mitchell got struck in the Willie.

Delhomme hospitalized, but cleared to return after emotional win

So Jake went to the hospital to get an MRI because the team was concerned about internal injuries (remember, we were responsible for Chris Simms' potentially fatal ruptured spleen some years back), but everything checked out ok. Hoover's got X-rays on his injured ankle, but they came back negative, so he'll likely be back before the season is through. Fiammetta left the game with a concussion. It's at least the second of his career, as he sat out a game his junior year at Syracuse because of another.

Remember when health updates for the Mets used to matter...like two weeks ago? LOL.
