It wasn't too long ago that Caroline Wozniacki was facing criticism for her supposedly boring press conferences. Next thing you know, she's telling media at the Australian Open how much she likes to bake. Then she fooled them into believing she got attacked by a kangaroo.
When the media asked about a bandage on her leg, she got creative (via Philadelphia Daily News):
"The other day, I went to the park and I saw this kangaroo lying there," she said at the news conference. "I wanted to go over and help it out. As I went over to it, it just started to be aggressive and it actually cut me.
"I thought maybe it needed some help. It wasn't big, it was a baby. I found out that I shouldn't do that. It looked so cute, but once it started scratching me, I was a coward and I ran away."
The best part isn't even that Wozniacki answered that way--although yes, a stupid question about a band-aid deserves a stupid answer. But even better, the media believed her. Like, actual reports were filed about her kangaroo attack, and an apology was issued. Which, well, even better. And once again, Caroline Wozniacki...
