The 2011 U.S. Open is delayed due to rain once again, but there's good news. This rain delay should be a pretty short one and shouldn't cause any matches to be cancelled like yesterday's day-long storm. There are expected to be other small patches of rain during the day, but this current storm is a small one and is expected to pass quickly.
Three men's Round of 16 matches are currently underway, and the early results are a bit startling. Rafael Nadal is playing at Arthur Ashe Stadium and is in some trouble early, down 3-0, by one break to Gilles Muller of Luxembourg. Nadal is up 15-0 in the current game and will be serving when play resumes.
Over at Louis Armstrong Stadium, Andy Roddick leads David Ferrer by one break, 3-1. He will be serving when play resumes. Everything is currently on serve at the Grandstand, where Donald Young leads Andy Murray 2-1, on serve, with Murray serving when play resumes. The last remaining Round of 16 match, John Isner vs. Gilles Simon, has not yet started and will begin when the rain delay ends.
