Heineken Open 2012 Scores And Results: David Ferrer Will Face Belgian Olivier Rochus In Finals

David Ferrer advanced to the finals of the 2012 Heineken Open after winning his quarterfinals and semifinals matchups on Friday. The top-seeded Spaniard defeated Alejandro Falla and Fernando Verdasco in a total of five sets, and will face off against Olivier Rochus of Belgium on Saturday.

Rain caused a delay in play on Thursday, suspending Ferrer's quarterfinals matchup until Friday. Ferrer went the distance with Falla, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, to move on to face Verdasco later in the day, who he dispatched in two sets. Rochus was able to play his quarterfinals match before the rain began, taking care of Benoit Paire of France 6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (4). On Friday he upset eighth-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-4 to advance.

Ferrer will be defending last year's title at the tournament when he faces Rochus at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. For more, head over to the official site of the Heineken Open and stay tuned to the SB Nation StoryStream.
