Novak Djokovic opened the broadcast on the fourth day of television coverage at the Australian Open, and made quick work of Santiago Giraldo in a straight-set win. Djokovic breezed to victory in a little over an hour and a half, finishing each set quicker than the last to advance to the third round with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 win.
Djokovic finished with nine aces to just two double faults while also hammering home 27 winners to 21 unforced errors. Giraldo, on the other hand, struggled, finishing with three aces and three double faults, as well as 39 unforced errors to just 13 winners.
With the win, Djokovic advances to the third round, where he awaits either Tatsuma Ito or Nicolas Mahut. Djokovic is the top seed at the 2012 Australian Open and has yet to be tested in his first two matches.
