2012 Australian Open: Vania King Upsets Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Sings In Celebration

American Vania King knocked off No. 15 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round of the 2012 Australian Open, rallying from one set down for the win. King fell behind early, dropping the opening set 7-5, before rattling off 6-3 and 6-4 wins to close out the match in three sets.

And then she sang, and did so quite well. At the urging of the ESPN courtside reporter, King, who is quite the singer, gave the world a bit of a sampling of her work. For being put on the spot after a lengthy match, the moment was quite impressive.

As for the match at hand, Pavlyuchenkova couldn't get out of her own way, recording 61 unforced errors in the loss despite finishing with 47 winners. King was able to stand back and allow Pavlyuchenkova beat herself, only recording 16 winners, and 24 unforced errors, in the second-round win.

King moves on to face Ana Ivanovic in the third round of the 2012 Australian Open.
