VIDEO: Australian Open Invaded By Cricket, Ball Girl Freaks Out

This happened a few days ago, during the first round of the 2012 Australian Open, but it's too good to pass up now. As Lleyton Hewitt took Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, a cricket made its way to the court. This isn't a huge deal, and the cricket was dispatched in short order, but the moment led to one of the greatest uses of slow-motion you'll see.

Of course, the players weren't going to deal with the cricket, distracting as it was. So a ball girl had to handle the cricket, and she didn't seem to like it too much. Upon first viewing, everything seems fine: she struggles to pick up the critter and tosses it aside out of the frame.

But there's a replay from another angle, and boy is it an amazing replay. Slow motion, the face of a young woman confronting her deepest fear and the laughs from the crowd watching it all unfold.

This is the finest camerawork you'll see at the Australian Open, and it's all for a cricket.
