French Open 2012: Draw Released At Roland Garros

On Sunday, the 2012 French Open (or Roland Garros) will begin. The full draws have been released at the official website of the tournament.

Some notable draws in the men's singles competition for the first round include Novak Djokovic going up against Potito Starace and Lleyton Hewitt facing Blaz Kavcic in the same opening bracket, so a Djokovic-Hewitt second-round match may be upon us. Roger Federer will meet Tobias Kamke in his opening match. Andy Roddick draws Nicolas Mahut in the first round. Tomas Berdych will have his first match against Dudi Sela. Berdych, Roddick and Federer are all in the same bracket.

John Isner of the United States, currently ranked 10th in the world, will play a qualifier in the first round. In the same bracket, Andy Murray takes on Tatsuma Ito. Rafael Nadal will play against Simone Bolelli.

In the women's singles, No. 1 Victoria Azarenka draws Alberta Brianti. Serena Williams will play against Virginie Razzano. Maria Sharapova, also in Williams' bracket, plays against Alexandra Cadantu.

You can find the full men's draw here, and you can look at the complete women's draw here on the Roland Garros website.
