And so it came to pass that even the rain couldn't quite stop Rafael Nadal at the French Open. After a brief rain delay interrupted the second set of play in the men's singles final, Nadal wasted no time in finishing off Djokovic to take a commanding two-set lead, winning the second set 6-3.
Nadal hasn't quite dominated Djokovic on the day — even for Nadal, both in his element on the Roland Garros clay and on one of his better runs of play at a French Open, throttling the world's best all-around player at the moment is tough going. But Djokovic cannot solve Nadal's defense, and has been broken repeatedly (Nadal has six breaks in 13 chances), and it's nigh impossible to see a path for him to upset the lord of clay by winning three straight sets.
