2012 BB&T Atlanta Open Preview: 1st Round Begins Monday

First round action at the 2012 BB&T Atlanta Open begins Monday. The top four seeds have earned byes, but several notable Americans will be in play including Jack Sock and Brian Baker.

The 2012 BB&T Atlanta Open begins first-round action Monday once qualifying wraps up. The top four seeds have all earned byes to start the tournament, meaning No. 1 John Isner, No. 2 Mardy Fish, No. 3 Kei Nishikori and No. 4 Andy Roddick won't be in action.

There will still be plenty to keep an eye on, however. Several Americans are in play, including 19-year-old Jack Sock. The former junior U.S. Open champion will take on No. 7 seed Alex Bogomolov, Jr. on Monday. Brian Baker, meanwhile, hopes to ride the momentum from his four-round run at Wimbledon to a win in Atlanta, starting Monday against Igor Kunitsyn of Russia.
