The best players in men's tennis will be invading the Center Court at the 2012 Western & Southern Open from Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday, as top seeds Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are all scheduled to begin their second round matches during the day.
The 56-player men's draw includes eight first-round byes for the top seeds, so Federer, Djokovic and Murray will each be taking the court for the first time on Wednesday while their opponents will enter with a warm-up match under their belt. The first of the three big head-to-head showdowns of the day, Djokovic will face Italy's Andreas Seppi to kick things off on the event's marquee court, with Murray's tough test against American Sam Querry set to follow immediately after.
Federer, who is set up nicely with a favorable draw and will not have to face either of his two biggest foes until the finals, will take on Russia's Alex Bogomolov Jr. in the nightcap. Bogomolov lost in the second round this year at the London Games in the men's singles event, and will be hoping to make headlines with another eye-popping upset after Andy Roddick was ousted from the tournament on Tuesday.
