Day 1 of the US Open begins at 11:00 a.m. Monday, and will be televised on the Tennis Channel and ESPN2.

Can Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray do in New York what he did in London? The US Open begins Monday and Murray, along with Swiss superstar and world No. 1 Roger Federer and Serbian Novak Djokovic, are favorites to win the men's singles title of the tournament.

Rafael Nadal, who is currently ranked No. 3 in the world and has an impressive 13-1 record at the US Open over the past two years, will not compete in this year's event due to his ailing knees.

Murray will begin the event facing Alex Bogomolov Jr. of Russia at 11:00 a.m. in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Roger Federer will face Donald Young of the United States at 7:00 p.m. in the same venue.

Also making her start at the US Open Monday will be women's number one Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, as she faces Alexandra Ponova of Russia at 11:00 a.m. in Louis Armstrong Stadium.

All matches will be broadcast on either the Tennis Channel or ESPN2. The full schedule of the US Open's events can be found on the tournament's website. The full television schedule can be found here.
