Juan Martin Del Potro has an injured wrist, but he'll face off against Tomas Berdych with hopes of sending the Argentines to the Davis Cup finals by winning their matchup with the Czech Republic.

Juan Martin Del Potro and Tomas Berdych highlight a semifinal pairing between Argentina and the Czech Republic with a spot in the Davis Cup finals on the line.

A doctor suggested Del Potro sit out two weeks after a left wrist injury bothered him in the U.S. Open, but the world's No. 8 player will fight through the pain to represent his country at home in the Davis Cup. The Argentines are already without David Nalbandian, who played both singles and doubles matches in the country's victories over Germany and Croatia, as the 30-year-old will sit with the same chest injury that kept him out of the U.S. Open.

The matchup will be held in the Parque Roca in Buenos Aires, where the hosts haven't lost a Davis Cup matchup on the clay since the stadium opened in 2006. Argentina appeared in the finals last year, but lost to Spain, who face off against the United States in the other semifinal.

Here's the scheduled matchups in the semifinal, which will be held from Friday to Sunday. Singles players are listed with their world rankings.

No. 1 singles: Juan Martin Del Potro (No. 8) vs. Tomas Berdych (No. 6)

No. 2 singles: Juan Monaco (No. 11) vs. Radek Stepanek (No. 40)

Doubles: Carlos Berlocq/Eduardo Schwank vs. Lukas Rosol/Ivo Minar
