Young British phenom Laura Robson saw her tournament end on Sunday, falling to defending champion Samantha Stosur after unforced errors and inexperience finally caught up to her. Stosur will face No. 1 Victoria Azarenka in the next round.
No. 4 David Ferrer of Spain suffered a bit of a scare on Sunday against Lleyton Hewitt before winning the match in four sets, taking advantage of the Australian's 72 unforced errors. Ferrer will take on No. 13 Richard Gasquet next.
